Installation INSTRUCTIONS
Image Specifications
* Images are available in TIFF as well as Bitmap format
(BMP) for your convenience. They may be used in any program
that can read TIFF or BMP graphic formats.
* TIFF images are located in the "01" directory/folder
inside the "GRANDCYN" directory/folder inside the "CONTENT"
directory/folder.
* Windows users can also access a directory/folder called
"BMP" that contains Bitmap (BMP) images. It is located in
the main (root) directory of the CD.
Windows 95 Image Browser installation:
* Insert CD in drive.
* Select "Run" from the "Start" menu. Type in
"D:\WIN_KUDO\SETUP32\SETUP.exe". Omit quotes and replace the
letter "D" with the appropriate letter for your CD drive (D
is the most common). Click "OK". Follow on-screen
instructions.
* After your computer reboots, click on the "Start" menu,
select "Programs" then go to "Grand Canyon Images".
Finally select the "GRANDCYN" icon.
* The CD MUST BE IN THE DRIVE to launch the browser and view
the images. When in the browser, right-click on the
thumbnail to view a full-screen image. To view Quicktime movies
left double-click the thumbnail.
Windows 95 Screen Saver installation:
* Insert CD in drive.
* Select "Run" from the "Start" menu.
* Type in "D:\SCRN_SVR\WIN95\GRANDCYN.exe". Omit quotes and
replace the letter "D" with the appropriate letter for your
CD drive (D is the most common). Click "OK" and follow
on-screen instructions.
Windows 95 Quicktime installation:
Quicktime is required to view the video clips we have
included in our browser.
* If you do not have Quicktime installed, select "Run" from
the "Start" menu. Type in
"D:\QTINSTAL\WIN95\QTEASY32.EXE". Omit the quotes and
replace the letter "D" with the appropriate letter for your
CD drive (D is the most common). Click "OK" and follow
on-screen instructions.
Windows 3 Image Browser installation:
* Launch Windows and insert CD in drive.
* Select "Run" from the "File" menu in the "Program
Manager".
* Type in the path: "D:\WIN_KUDO\SETUP16\SETUP.EXE". Omit
quotes and replace the letter "D" with the appropriate
letter for your CD drive (D is the most common). Click
"OK". Follow on-screen instructions.
* After your computer reboots, go to your "Program Manager"
and double click on the program group named "Grand
Canyon Images"
* Double click on the "GRANDCYN" icon to enter the browser.
* The CD MUST BE IN THE DRIVE to launch the browser and view
the images. When in the browser, right-click on the
thumbnail to view a full-screen image. To view Quicktime movies
left double-click the thumbnail.
Windows 3 Screen Saver installation:
* Launch Windows and insert CD in drive.
* Select "Run" from the "File" menu in the "Program
Manager".

and replace the letter "D" with the appropriate letter for

on-screen instructions.

letter for your CD drive (D is the most common). Click "OK"
and follow the on-screen instructions.
Searching captions in the catalog
* Captions for each image are in the "notes" field. To
search captions, click on "Find" button in the menu
bar. When the "find" dialog box comes on screen, change the
pull-down menu from "Name" to "Notes", type in the word(s)
you are searching for and click on the "Find"
button. Double-click on thumbnails to view image
full-screen.
WALLPAPER (Win 95 only)
Launch the image browser. Right click on the image that you would
like to use as your wallpaper. In the "Image Viewer" application,
choose the "Save As bitmap (BMP)..." command from the "File" menu.
Save the file in the "C:\WINDOWS" directory. Open the "Control Panel"
window and double click on the "Display" icon. Click on the
"Background" tab. Select the image you would like, and click
the "Apply" button.
